Project Description | The Southeast and Southwest boundaries of this unique site are adjacent to protected wetlands while the Northeast side edges a private beach. The only access to the site is on the Northwest side via a narrow driveway. Located on a flood zone, the architect proposed a simple linear box elevated above the natural contour of the site. The long rectangular plan was bifurcated to open up interior spaces to the view of the bay. Passive Solar panels, closed loop geothermal system, and wind turbines were integrated to the overall design of the residence.
